This private day trip from Zagreb takes you to two of Istria’s most iconic places: the coastal town of Rovinj and the hilltop village of Motovun. It’s a long day, but it packs in a lot of scenery – from the blue Adriatic to green hills, vineyards and stone streets.

You’ll usually start with Rovinj, often called the most romantic town in Croatia. Enjoy free time to wander the old town, walk up to the church of St. Euphemia for views, explore art galleries or simply sit by the sea with a drink. Your driver drops you near the center and waits while you explore.

After Rovinj, you continue inland to Motovun, a medieval town set high above the Mirna valley. This is truffle and wine country – perfect for a relaxed late lunch, wine or truffle tasting, and a walk around the city walls for panoramic views of Istria. When you’re ready, you meet your driver again and return to Zagreb in the evening.
